ABOUT THE SING-A-LONG

Born out of the impromptu late night sing-a-longs around the battered old piano in the Nag's Head bar at the Twinwood vintage music festival, Carradine's Cockney Sing-a-long was officially launched in the Mahogany Bar at Wilton's Music Hall in October 2014.

A music hall and old time music aficionado, Tom Carradine decided he wanted to capture the flavour and atmosphere of a good old fashioned knees up, in the grand Cockney tradition, and recreate it for audiences young and old.

Since it’s launch in 2014, Carradine’s Cockney Sing-a-long has become a staple fixture on the UK’s thriving vintage scene, playing sell-out dates in the main auditorium at Wilton’s, every Thursday at Mr Fogg's Tavern in London, and for vintage events, corporate events and private parties across the country and in Europe.

During the coronavirus pandemic of 2020-21 Tom moved his weekly residency online and live streamed every Thursday for 65 weeks, entertaining viewers across the world and creating a lovely community of fans (Carradine’s Cockney Sing-a-longers).

Tom is honoured to regularly perform for the residents at Brinsworth House (the Royal Variety Charity care home) and the Royal Hospital Chelsea, alongside a large number of care homes and nursing homes across London and the South East.

The sing-a-long has appeared on The Apprentice (BBC One), The Hairy Builder (BBC Two), Sunday Brunch (Channel 4) and Tom regularly provides the soundtrack to videos on the award-winning Joolz Guides YouTube channel.  In May 2022 he entertained audiences on a transatlantic crossing on the Queen Mary 2 and in January 2022 was recognised by the British Music Hall Society with an award for “keeping the spirit of music hall alive”.
